A New Tradition for Summer
The Landing at Three Rivers Park in Shakopee and The Savage Arts Council are teaming up to launch a new tradition for art lovers this summer in the Minnesota River Arts Fair on July 28 & 29, 2012 featuring 125 Minnesota Fine Artists. Using this beautiful, historical park's 1880 Settler's Village as its back drop, MRAF will enjoy being nestled in the town square with spectacular views of the Minnesota River from the Artist's booths. Imagine being picked up at the parks edge and taken by horse drawn wagon to the settler's village. The wagon ride transports you through Minnesota State settlement history and drops you in the 1880's.
Artist Registration Underway!
ROUND TWO ART FAIR DEADLINE: JUNE 1, 2012
Artists will apply for Minnesota River Arts Fair by using an online juried system called ZAPP or Zapplications.org.
Outdoor Painting Competition
Outdoor painting is a tradition as old as painting itself, so what more perfect event to highlight this tradition then at the Minnesota River Arts Fair (MRAF). Just imagine painting in the 1880's inspired Heritage village at Three Rivers Park Districts, Landing Park just as the great Landscape painters of the past.
