What Artists Need to Know?

Our Artist Services Group is where artists interested in participating in this years event need to go to find the facts out about this wonderful new event. Your questions will be answered and updates listed for quick easy access:

- Event Location: The Landing Park which is part of the Three Rivers Park District in Scott County, Minnesota (formerly known as “Murphy’s Landing”)

- Arts Organization Status: Savage Arts Council which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation
- Host Organizations: Savage Arts Council and Three Rivers Parks District

The Event
The Minnesota River Arts Fair is a first year event highlighting the artisans living and/or working in the State of Minnesota. The event is hosted by the Savage Arts Council and Three Rivers Parks Distinct at the Landing Heritage Park in Shakopee Minnesota. The park boosts some of the most beautiful views of the Minnesota River and takes place in a restored 1880 village. The Arts Fair will celebrate the arts through: 
- Exhibition of artists works
- Artists demonstrations
- Art fair awards
- Live music
- Living history entertainment and tours
- Juried Outdoor Painting Competition (separate registration & fees)
- Competition period will be the week prior to the art show
- Artists will paint anywhere in the park
- Artists will turn in competition works by Friday July 27
- Award Ceremony will be during the actual art fair
- All accepted artist’s works will be on display during the art fair and on sale for artists

- Non-Profit Artistic or Historic Groups Booths (your non-profit group may apply for free booth space)
Booth Spaces
Individual booth assignments are made to create an appealing mix of media. Assignments are at the sole discretion of the Minnesota River Arts Fair and are not interchangeable or transferable. Each artist is assigned a 10’x10’ space with buffer space.
