The Minnesota River Art Fair and The Savage Arts Council

The Minnesota River Arts Fair is a new organization founded for the sole purpose of working with the Three Rivers Park District to develop a high quality Fine Arts Fair in the Southern Metro of Minneapolis which will support fine art education and artists in Minnesota.  To maintain the quality of work being presented, the event is defined as a Juried Arts Event, so artists apply to participate and are then selected by a panel of three judges to participate.   The Savage Arts Council is the founding organization for MRAF reports to SAC’s Board of Directors.

The Savage Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation which is a community based arts organization that was founded in 2006 and actively supports the arts and arts activities in Savage, Scott County, the Minnesota River Valley and through out Minnesota. Savage Arts Council’s  Mission:

Savage Arts Council is committed to organizing and promoting artistic projects and events within the City of Savage and surrounding communities, and to providing regional leadership in the arts.

Our mission is more than just a "statement" to us. The Savage Arts Council was founded in 2006 by a dedicated group of Savage Citizens and with start up funding by the City of Savage. The purpose was to help fill the need in the community to build arts appreciation and fund arts project that were only a vision. Since its creation the Council has launched, funded or managed multiple new events and continues to be inflectional in promoting the arts in Minnesota. Some of our projects include:
